Supported by the Otago Hockey Association, primary school hockey teams were encouraged to wear a wig on Wednesday to raise money for the Child Cancer Foundation. A great initiative, not to mention a great success, with $497 raised for the Otago-Southland Branch of the Child Cancer Foundation.

The Primary School competitions were invited to "Get Wiggy with It", and get wiggy they did! Well done to the Columba Year 5/6 Navy hockey team for your commitment to getting Wiggy for Kids with Cancer! Sporting an array of colourful wigs, our Columba stars entered into the spirit of the day with wonderful enthusiasm. An exciting game was had against Opoho in the rain, and lots of goals were scored.

Well done Year 5/6 Navy Hockey for your community spirit, and sense of fun. All for a great cause.
