This term, the Year 6 class has been focusing on leadership. We have been reading about famous leaders and looking at the qualities that make them a leader.

As part of our literacy programme, the year 6 students have chosen a leader who inspires them. They have read  about their leader, taken notes and summarised key information before presenting their research to the class. As part of their presentation students discussed what makes this person a leader, what we can learn from them and why they inspire others.  We learnt that a good leader looks out for others, often before themselves and that they lead by example. The class linked these ideas to our Columba College GRACE values and how they can demonstrate these skills in their own leadership roles this year. 

It has been a fantastic term of learning and we were very proud of the quality of the Year 6 students' presentations.
