Easter Communion Service Maundy Thursday
We are delighted to be having our first communion service in many years at the Years 7-13 Chapel on Maundy Thursday.
Easter is a time when Christians celebrate Jesus’ life, death and resurrection and that through them God enables forgiveness and flourishing. Communion, referred to as Mass and the Eucharist in some churches, is sharing bread and wine (we will use grape juice) and is a tradition started by Jesus at the Last Supper. During the service, we will hear the Easter story told through readings and short videos, and then all students and staff will be free to choose if they wish to partake of the bread/wafer and juice or not. If you would like more information, please contact Rev. Charissa Nicol who is conducting the service.
THIS EASTER…
May you feel the renewal of HOPE
May you be filled with JOY
May you know God’s LOVE
May you remember JESUS and his gift of NEW LIFE
Amen
