2024 Shanghai International Sister Cities Youth Camp

Administration —

July 3-16, 2024.

Five Dunedin students and one teacher have been invited to attend the 2024 Shanghai International Sister Cities Youth Camp, which will be held from July 3-16, 2024.

The invitation comes via the Dunedin City’s friends at the Shanghai Education Commission and is a sign of the esteem in which Shanghai holds the Sister City relationship with Dunedin that they are inviting five secondary students and a school teacher to attend an all expenses paid two week study camp. The students and teacher need to cover their airfares to and from Shanghai but all accommodation, travel, food and activities in Shanghai are paid for by the hosts.

The camps were a regular event prior to the Covid Pandemic and this is the first year in which they’ve been held since 2019.

If you would like to apply for this amazing camp, please complete the application attached and return it to Project China lead Hui Zhang Hui.Zhang@dcc.govt.nz by April 15th.

Hui and the representative from Shanghai Education Commission will then select five students to get a diverse mix of pupils and schools involved where possible. Hui will also support families to organise visas and any questions about travel and the time in China.
