We were proud to announce the appointment of two Distinguished Alumnae and to celebrate their achievements at a special assembly today.

The 2018 Distinguished Alumna is Ms Skye Duncan who attended the College from 1991 to 1997 and has gone on to a noteworthy international career in urban design.

The 2019 Distinguished Alumna is Dr Helen Beattie. After attending the College from 1989 to 1993, Dr Beattie has worked in a variety of veterinary roles, leading up to her present role as New Zealand Veterinary Association’s Chief Veterinary Officer.

Full information about Ms Duncan’s and Dr Beattie’s careers will be in next week’s newsletter along with photos from today’s celebrations at which we were also delighted to welcome some visiting boarding students from the 1940s and 1950s.

The diversity of roles that our students move on to after their time with us is stunning and the willingness of many of our alumni to share their experiences with our current students underlines the great sense of community we enjoy at Columba.
