For Years 0 to 8 Students.

The After School Care Programme runs every day after school from 3:00pm until 5:30pm. It is a fully supervised programme for Columba College students from Years 0 to 8. Students remain on the school grounds, on the Hill Jack campus in the Solway block.

The supervisor runs a varied and interesting programme. Students have the opportunity to be involved in outdoor play, indoor activities or to start their homework. Parents are welcome to visit the After School Care programme and to meet the supervisor, Mrs Rachel Taylor.

Students may come on a regular or casual basis. The programme provides a regular service as well as being a back-up for parents who have an unexpected commitment after school. All students receive afternoon-tea, irrespective of the length of their stay.

For families wishing to use the After School Care programme, please complete the attached enrolment form and return it to: dhope@columbacollege.school.nz or deliver it to the college office.

COSTS: 

The following daily rates (GST inclusive) apply from Term I, 2026 (and may be subject to change):

• for children picked up before 4:30pm : $18:00 per child 

• for children picked up before 5:30pm : $26:00 per child

• for children picked up after 5:30pm an additional cost of $5:00 per quarter hour, or part thereof, will be incurred as this is outside the normal operating hours.

Discount for siblings onsite together:

• 2nd sibling: 5%

• 3rd sibling: 10%

The cost of After School Care is charged to the school monthly accounts.

BOOKINGS: 

These are made by emailing dhope@columbacollege.school.nz or by phoning the School Office (467 5188), and may be on a permanent or casual basis. For a casual booking, please contact the School Office by 2:30pm on the day concerned. The office will inform the Supervisor and your child's teacher of the booking.
