The annual Otago Secondary School Tennis Teams Championships were held on Wednesday 14th February at the Logan Park Tennis Centre, and Columba College ended the day of competition on top of the podium!

A huge congratulations goes to our two Columba Tennis teams who competed in the Otago Secondary Schools Tennis Championships in hot, bright conditions yesterday. Held at the Stevenson Tennis Centre, Logan Park, a large contingent of students across a number of schools were entered in the A and B Grade competitions.

Columba Navy - Year 12 students Aminah and Crystal dominated the A grade division, winning all their games across the day, taking out the title of Secondary School A Grade Champions! The level of talent, team spirit and support shown for their younger peers representing Columba on the courts was a joy to see, and we are delighted to extend a huge congratulations to both Aminah and Crystal. Well done Team Navy!

Columba White - Year 9 students Freya and Daisy formed the White team to represent Columba, and having not played tennis together before, the girls took to the courts with fantastic attitude and energy. Their athletic skill carried them through the competition well, and their tennis just got better and better with each game. A great result for this team to top the B Grade competition, and we are absolutely delighted that Columba finished the day on top of the podium for both the A Grade and B Grade competitions! Congratulations Team White!
