Principal's Pinnacles

Mrs C Nicol —

The first highlight of this week was the festive market on Saturday. Thankfully the weather was on our side and the Columba community supported the event with gusto! The merchandise was top notch, food exceptional, and the organisation sublime. It was a great opportunity for Christmas shopping - I came away with some resin gifts bought from the enterprise students and some accessories for the Principal's office. A special thanks to Lou Tilyard for all her work orchestrating the event!

My second highlight was the Crossing Ceremony on Wednesday. The piper, who is part of our alumni, played magnificently as we applauded each of our Junior School graduates crossing the road. The coffee and cake after for parents was a welcome addition to the tradition, and the students enjoyed their long awaited pizza lunch too.

My third and final highlight was being part of the delivery of the mystery boat to the New Entrants class in preparation for their Mystery Trip next week. Unveiling Paddington Bear surrounded by young students so excited they were squirming with enthusiasm, was such a joy. Justine Byfield had put a phenomenal amount of effort into hand crafting the parcel and invites and I can't wait to see the Mystery Trip unfold.
