A Boarders' Best Friend

Lily Newton (Year 13) —

If you've visited the House weekdays recently, you may have met Boston. While Boston ordinarily lives with Mary (House Supervisor), we have also adopted him as the House dog.

Boston gives a lot of joy and is always super excited to be around the Boarders, especially when there are sticks to be thrown or a walk and cuddles on offer. So in this newsletter, we introduce Boston to the wider College community and invite you to come visit soon. If you do come to visit, be sure to bring a stick or two and your best throwing arm!

It's 2:55pm and Mary is gathering up gear, is she going to pick up my lead though? I follow her around as she goes back to gather the glasses she forgot, she walks past my lead, I wag as hard as I can, I give her my biggest puppy eyes and as she picks up the key she gives in and grabs my lead too. Yaaaaay, it's off to school I go, you don't hear someone being that excited about school everyday though do you? But that's because I am not going to school to learn, I am going to school to play and have fun with my best friends.

My name is Boston and I am a 5 year old staffy cross. I love sticks and my favourite times of the day are when I'm running around on the farm, going on walks with my best friends at Columba and most of all when I get to sit around at night and get pampered.

Life at Columba College for me is so much fun, there is always a stick being thrown or a walk to go on but there are also some times when I am needed to cheer people up, I reckon I'm pretty good at that.

I have been coming to school for a whole year now, it is the best and so are the people so I think I will keep coming back for a long time, as long as Mary keeps giving me a ride!
