The Columba College Junior Debating team has won the Dunedin Schools Junior Debating Competition

Congratulations to our Year 10 students, Alyssa Duthie, Jessica Mundy and Nanni Ge, who won the final of the Dunedin Schools Junior Debating Competition against Otago Girls' High School on Wednesday evening. They secured their place in the final after narrowly defeating the Year 9 Columba College Junior team in the semi-finals.

In addition, Jessica Mundy was named overall Best Speaker of the whole competition and Alyssa Duthie was named sixth best speaker. Isabella Oakley and Emily Roy from the Year 9 Columba College team were also awarded certificates for being eighth-equal best speakers. Congratulations must also go to Sophie Canton and Uma Reid for stepping up and contributing to both teams so well in the competition.
