We have raised concerns with the contractors on the building site of our new hostel about the speed of trucks on Oban Street and the timing of their deliveries.

There are a number of construction projects going on in our area and Oban Street would appear to be a conduit/ thoroughfare for more vehicles than usual.

The main contractor has agreed that deliveries should not occur between 8am to 8.45am in the morning and 2.45 to 3.30pm in the afternoon and that there will always be a spotter outside the truck when it enters and exits the site.

We hold regular site meetings and if there are any concerns please raise them with the principal. They will be communicated to the appropriate people.
