'A Midsummer Night's Dream'
Year 9 English recently finished reading and studying 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.
And though she be but little, she is fierce" (A Midsummer Night's Dream Act 3, Scene 2, line 322-326)
Students acted parts, wrote personal responses, thought about themes and ideas and considered the relevance of the these in our modern world. How do we feel about a father choosing his daughter's husband, for instance?
The final assessment was to create a static image showing the changing love relationships of the four nobles Helena, Lysander, Hermia and Demetrius. They were tasked with using colour, shape, symbols and layout creatively to communicate the changes in the hearts of the four lovers. Below is a sample of their work.
