On Tuesday we were fortunate to have Otago Nuggets' basketball coach, Brent Matehaere, run our intermediate basketball teams and student coaches through multiple skills and drills. There were many laughs had and the students took away pointers which they could use to help develop their own game play and really hone their skills.  

On Wednesday evening, we were also very fortunate to have Southern Steel member Kiana Pelasio run a training session for our 9A netball team. Kiana took the team through numerous drills to help improve areas such as communication, pre-ball movement and providing options to the ball. It was an awesome opportunity to learn from an experienced player in the game and certainly provided the team with a boost in the lead up to the SISS Netball Tournament which they will be attending in Christchurch next week, alongside our 10A netball team. 

We wish both teams all the very best and hope they enjoy both the on and off court experience of being involved in such a tournament. A massive thank you also to all the coaches and management for the time they have given to these teams in preparation for the tournament.
