"You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul." George Bernard Shaw

Middle School students worked hard to entertain their teachers and peers in Term 4. Year 10 Drama students (Class 5 and Class 6) performed their end-of-year Christmas performances to full houses in the CFT. Year 10 (5) devised and performed a murder mystery with a twist and lots of hi-jinks, whilst Year 10 (6) hosted 'Dove's Got Talent' with an irascible Simon Cowell, glamorous Kim Kardashian, and a wayward Santa.

Year 9 performed a series of Christmas-themed mini-performances culminating with Santa and his nemesis The Grinch, battling it out. The Drama 7s led by Pippa Trotman and Brie Monk delighted the Junior School with an adorable performance of Christmas characters jockeying to become the next 'Santa'.

Finally, a successful run of Robin Hood the pantomime, at The Globe Dunedin, enthralled audiences young and old. Alumna Penelope Hare (Robin Hood) and Year 10 Lois Prior (Tilly) sang, danced, robbed the rich, and gave to the poor over 10 nights.

2023 heralds Ugly Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, The University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Competition, Theatrefest, the Drama 7s, and of course the school's musical Mamma Mia booked for August at the Coronation Hall in Mosgiel (and much more).

A huge thank you goes out to Mrs Sarah Waterman for working with the Year 10s and Year 9s during Weeks 6 and 7. Your aroha and dedication were much appreciated.
