OSS Athletics 2023
Columba College dominated the track and field on Saturday at the Otago Secondary School Athletics Championships.
Columba College students had a phenomenal day at the Caledonian track achieving impressive results across the board and number of athletes gaining personal bests!
Kiana U15 - High Jump (3rd place + PB) Shot Put (1st place + PB) Discus (1st place + PB) 100m (4th place + PB)
Shanti U15 - High Jump (2nd place) Discus (2nd place) 200m (1st place) 100m (1st place)
Tila U15 - Long Jump (1st place) 200m (2nd place + PB) 100m (3rd place + PB)
Freya U14 - Long Jump (3rd place)
Harlow U14 - Long Jump (1st place) 200m (4th place)
Lyla U14 - 200m (2nd place) 100m (2nd place + PB)
Alexa O16 - Hammer (2nd place) Discus (1st Place) Javelin (1st place + Meet record) and Shot Put (2nd place + PB)
Lila U15 - 1500m (1st place) 800m (2nd place)
Sadye U14 - 400m (1st place + PB) 200m (3rd place) 100m (3rd place)
Tamai U14 - Shot Put (3rd place)
Faith O16 - 400m (4th place)
Imogen U16 - Long Jump (3rd place) 200 (3rd place + PB) 100m (2nd place + PB) Triple Jump (2nd Place)
Melanie U16 - 3000m (1st place)
Alexa claimed a MEET RECORD for Javelin 40.76m . She broke the meet record, previously set in 2004 (36.54m). A huge throw for Alex beat it by more than 4m - well done!
Relay Results:
U14 4x100m = Olivia, Sadye, Iris, and Harlow (1st place)
U15 4x100m = Tila, Lyla, Kiana, and Shanti (1st place)
Senior 4x400m = Imogen, Alex, Lila, and Faith (3rd place)
