Chapel with the Junior School

Dr Macleod —

Last week, we had a special Chapel with the members of the Junior School.

While the Year 9-13 students were in exams, a number of Year 8 students helped to lead Chapel for our Junior and Intermediate pupils.

We started by looking at some amazing pictures of stars, constellations and galaxies. We then reflected on Psalm 147:1-5, which reminds us that God is bigger than the biggest thing we can imagine. God also cares about the little things and the things that other people don't notice, like people who are feeling sad or who don't have many friends.

We have the opportunity to join in with what God is doing in this world. We can do this by noticing and including those who are sad or lonely, or by helping those who are hurting or sick.

Our final reflection was that God doesn't just know the stars by name, he knows each of us, too.

Grace Mitchell carried the Chapel Cross, Grace Hill and Zara Pratley read Psalm 147:1-5, Mary Mengel and Bella Potter led us in prayer, and Natalie McDonald said the blessing.
