The Columba College Senior A Netball team has recently competed in the South Island secondary schools netball tournament held in Christchurch, gaining 2nd place.

We came up against Avonside, Rangi Ruru and Marlborough Girls in the first round of pool play, coming out as first in our pool by winning all of these games.

We then managed to win our second round of pool games where we played St Hilda's and drew, however, this worked in our favour as we went through into the Top 4 on goal differential! This meant that we met St Andrew's in the semi final, narrowly winning by one goal in a closely contested match, which was a rematch from the StAC exchange.

We then faced St Margaret's in a rematch of the 2023 SISS final in which St Margaret's managed to pull away and claim victory. Overall, we showed good camaraderie and sportswomanship throughout the entire tournament and represented Columba with pride. 

Our next tournament is the NZ Secondary Schools Netball Champs which is being held in Christchurch during the October school holidays.
