Holly Yr 11 and Alice Yr 13 both loved being part of Stand Up, Stand Out: The Teen Comedy Showcase, and they should be very proud of their highly entertaining sets which they presented to a sellout audience. 

Working with Career Comedians, workshopping and developing ideas was a fantastic experience.

Alices’ set revealed her recollection of being a long time ‘Bug Girl’ (you probably had to be there) and Holly, about life as a Teenage Girl.

The group of 8 first time comedians were nominated for the Outstanding Emerging Talent Award and for Best in Fringe. This alone is a huge honour, let alone actually winning Outstanding Emerging Talent. 

Congratulations to both on their shared success as not only award winning first time Fringe participants but also their first Stand Up comedy experience. We are certain that this will not be a ‘one off’ for either student and can’t wait to see more acts in the future.
