Dunedin Writers & Readers Festival 2019

Ms Togneri —

Many of you will have seen the programme for this years festival and will be as excited as us to see Dunedin, as a UNESCO City of Literature, attracting such fabulous authors. The English department will celebrate our love of words by taking students to the following events.

Years 9 and 10

All Year 9 and 10 students will travel with the English department on Friday 10 May at 9.30am to the OGHS auditorium to hear John Boyne ('The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas') and Mark Zusak ('The Book Thief'). We will encourage students to take pen and paper. We will be back at Columba College by 12.30pm. Your accounts will be charged the cost of $10 per student and a small charge for the bus.

It would be fabulous if you could get on board and encourage the reading of books by these two acclaimed authors so that our girls will get the most from the experience.
