The New Zealand Secondary Schools Orchestra rehearsed over the April holidays and concluded with a concert in Christchurch. We are thrilled to have two Columba students, Victoria Williamson (Principal Second Violinist) and Skyla Murray (also Violinist) selected for this orchestra. The conductor, Mr Uwe Grodd was delighted that Victoria could chat with him in German, displaying the fluency she gained over the summer on her Goethe Scholarship stay in Frankfurt.

I also had the pleasure of hearing the New Zealand Secondary Schools Choir perform in Wellington over the holidays and it was lovely to see Rosie Auchinvole, Year 11, and Aidan Hung, Year 12 at John McGlashan, singing with them.
