The annual Columba College sports day took place on Monday 8th March 2021 at the Caledonian and, despite chilly conditions to start the day, the event was again a huge success. The dress-ups were amazing, the cheering was loud, and there were many delightful moments across the day that showcased the spirit of competition.

The Sports Council had their first meeting for the year this week.

Over the weekend two Columba girls had the excellent opportunity of performing at the Dunedin Concerto Competition, among thirty other competitors, many of whom were University students.

A team of avid young scientists have been instrumental in bringing increased recognition to STEM achievements at Columba College.

The Columba Young Enterprise team was given the opportunity to send one of their members to the International Women in Leadership Luncheon. As the Managing Director I was chosen to go.

Columba College had over 40 junior and intermediate students sign up for the Sport Otago Triathlon at Port Chalmers on Wednesday this week, and our runners, cyclists and swimmers had a fantastic day of competition!

There have been many visits and visitors to the Commerce Department over the past two weeks.

Next Friday morning, the 19th of March, a selected rowing squad are headed to Lake Karapiro, near Cambridge, for the NZSSRA Maadi Cup.

Columba College has traditionally fielded a strong squad in this annual triathlon competition. This year was no different.
