Scrabble by Chris Cheyne

On Wednesday this week, Year 7 students spent the day at John McGlashan with their Year 7 classes.
This was the first time to attempt some collaborative learning and from the feedback, it seems as if it will become an annual event!
The students spent four periods rotating around four different activities, run by the four class teachers. They moved robots around courses, and they jumped around in an aerobic-type Scrabble game. In the virtual reality rotation, they could go to Mars or look inside the human heart and, to finish, they played dodgeball and volleyball.
After lunch, we played a game of rolling Football and then a serious game of Football with our best players. (Unfortunately, we lost 1-0.) It was an excellent way to get to know the boys from our brother school and a great end-of-year activity.
