From the 3rd to the 7th of June, Columba’s twenty Sheilah Winners, as well as Ms Bercinskas and Ms Andrew, participated in the National Shakespeare Festival in Wellington.

Over the past couple of weeks Year 3 has had lots of discussion in our KiVa sessions around differences in people and what makes us unique and special.

On Friday 4th June Columba held their annual swimming sports day, plenty of enthusiasm and house spirit was shown by all participants.

On Thursday June 3rd, 29 teams of eager spellers from Years 7-10 took on the challenge of the 2021 ‘ODT Extra!’ Spelling Quiz.

Being active in your wellbeing sometimes means doing less.

On Wednesday 2nd June Columba had three teams competing at the Otago/Southland Cross Country event which saw success for all teams.

On Wednesday 9th of June the Student Council held a Bake Sale to raise money for the charity CanTeen NZ.

Last weekend Columba had multiple students involved in the Otago U17 and U19 Volleyball teams which were competing at IPCs.

Thursday last week saw the Columba Year 13 Prefects host a fabulously fun and feisty netball match against John McGlashan College in the Columba Marsh Sports Centre.

On Monday 31st May Columba Rugby hosted Otago Rugby referee education officer Tumua Ioane.
