Once, when on a tramp in South Westland, going along this range and up and over this mountain, my friend got scared. She’s very skilled in the outdoors. What we were doing was well within our experience. She just got scared.

In the second week of the October holidays, four of our Year 13s took on five days of what the adventure race organiser describes as “the toughest outdoor sporting event that you could do at high school these days".
