Guide To Choosing A Career/Course
Who Helps Students Choose?
- Parents or guardians should discuss option choices with their child(ren) and help them to make the selection on the KAMAR portal. If a student is new to Columba, a parent or guardian must co-sign the options choice sheet before returning it to the College.
- The Careers Adviser at school is available to assist students and parents.
- Heads of Department and teachers in charge of subjects will ensure that the student has all the necessary prerequisites.
- Talk to current subject teachers. They can give a good idea of whether to carry on in a course or not and where it might lead.
- At the beginning of the school year, senior students (Years 11-13) will have their courses confirmed on the designated course confirmation days.
