International Languages: Level 2

Qualification - NCEA level 2

Course Outline

The course for NCEA Level 2 Languages is similar to that of Level 1, but with two or three internally assessed Standards, worth up to 14 credits, and two externally assessed Standards worth 10 credits, making a total of between 19 and 24 credits.

An assessment statement will be issued early in Term One, outlining when the Internal assessment tasks will be due. Students are also required to keep a portfolio of their writing and speaking in the target language and present it for assessment in Term Three.

Students will be assessed in the Interact portfolio, plus either one or both of the other two standards.
