Columba College was once again well represented at the 2020 OSTA Science Fair.

It has been an interesting week in an eventful and unprecedented year!

As I was going to bed on Tuesday night, I did not expect my phone to start blaring the Civil Defence alert, nor did I expect that we’d be back in Level 2 with Auckland in Level 3.

Last Tuesday and Thursday the play Medea by Euripides (431 BCE) was directed and performed by Year 10 Drama.

On Sunday 9 August, eight Columba College pupils competed in the Otago Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships held at the Chisholm Park Golf Course.

Over the past weekend (August 7-9), the Dunedin Ice Stadium was the hottest place in town, as 15 teams from around Te Wai Pounamu took part in the 2020 South Island Secondary Schools Curling Championships.

After School Care (ASC) is still running during Alert Level 2.

The Library remains open during Level 2.

We are still in need of some quality auction prizes for our major fundraiser, the Columba College Golf Tournament coming up on the 11th September 2020.

25 current and new rowers attended the Columba Rowing 'Have-a-go-Day' last weekend, trying out rowing machines and the University's rowing tank.

The Otago Swimming short course championships were held over the weekend just gone, and some excellent results were achieved by our Columba Swimming Stars.

Congratulations to Milla Cashmore, Millie Mackenzie, Lucy Morrison, Charli Sinclair and Sophie Tizard for making the U13 Age Group Basketball Team.

Columba College and the Sports Council is excited to remind our school community that our annual Golf Tournament is to be held at the St. Clair Golf course on Friday 11th September 2020. A day full of friendly competition, socialisation, many prizes, and much, much more, this event is NOT to be missed!
