Yesterday Columba College had seven students take part in the Otago Secondary School Cross Country ran by OUSSSA at Kaikorai Valley College.
All athletes ran well with respected placings throughout all races. Catherine Lund claimed 2nd in the U14 Girls race and Jaime Reid gained a 3rd placing for the U15 Girls. Cross Country Captain Rachael Turner lead our group well finishing 2nd in the U16 Girls event.
The weather held out very nearly the entire time with light drizzle towards the end but overall an awesome afternoon of running. Now heading onto the New Zealand Cross Country for three of our students in 2 weeks time. We wish Catherine, Rachael and Jaime all the best in Timaru and we will be following their success.
