Last term and early this term the Year 8 classes worked on the Ancient Egypt unit in Social Studies.

On Monday 19th October, Columba College held an Intermediate Doubles tennis tournament for the Year 7 and 8 students. Held at the Edgar Centre, the day was full of fun competition, sporting spirit, and lots of laughter!

Many Columba girls serve our wider Dunedin community each year and are awarded with service badges for their time and efforts.

The NZSS Swimming Championships were held recently in Hamilton, and Columba College had two athletes competing in this highly contested event. Running across 6 sessions from Thursday 15 - Sunday 18 October 2020, this national swimming meet sees the best secondary school athletes go head-to-head for the title of national champion.

Nora Paicu is continuing her work investigating development and hatch rate in birds.

Late Term 3, the Year 7 Social Studies classes went to Toitu to have some first-hand experience on what life would have been like for Aotearoa’s first settlers from Britain in the 1800s.

Susan Guthrie was a student at Columba from 1957 – 1965 and on the last day of term three we welcomed her back for a tour of Columba College.
