The School Day
The school day is based around student attendance from 8.55am to 3.00 pm. Most of our learning activities occurs in the open learning spaces, learning studios and adjacent outdoor spaces. From time to time activities are planned for outdoor areas, the multi-purpose hall space and off-site locations.
Children may enter the school grounds from 8.30am.
We encourage parents to say goodbye to their child(ren) at the front gate.
Children are free play within the grounds until 8.55am however no adventure playgrounds or sports equipment to be used before school. (this includes pre-school children).
Parents are free to enter the grounds and classrooms but please be mindful and respectful that teachers are also engaging and working with your children at this time. A number of our teachers work one on one with children providing extra curriculum support during the 8.30am to 8.55am time slot.
A bell will sound at 8.50am as a signal for our children to settle on the mat area or desk ready for the learning programme to get underway at 8.55am. This is also a signal for any parents in the room at 8.50am to leave so the learning programme can get underway.
Our timetable includes a ten minute nutritional fruit break for all children aimed at a “re-fuel” leading to greater student performance and concentration as well as good health.
