World Vision 40 Hour Famine

Stephen Harrison —

We invite you and your child to become part of the World Vision 40 Hour Famine weekend on 8 - 10 June.

Cotswold children will be raising money for the Northern Uganda, providing essentials such as nutritious food and clean water, places to live, education and hope for a better future.

Children who are 8 or older are invited to participate in the World Vision 20 or 40 hour famine. This year the theme is ‘Standing United with the children of South Sudan’. Thousands of young lives have been affected by conflict, drought and famine in South Sudan. Children have had to flee for their lives across the border to Uganda, becoming refugees. They have travelled a long distance, many without parents or families.

Get involved for a great cause! We will be handing out booklets and wrist bands early this term. There are many challenges you can participate in – no talking, no technology, no furniture, only eating rice, putting your ‘life in a bag’ for the weekend. Please see Mrs Sandford in Room 24 with any questions.
