Kia ora whānau,
A huge thank you to the parents and grandparents who have been assisting us with our Swim Safe Programme. The students have had fun and I'm sure are all exhausted from their two weeks of swimming lessons.
It has been great to see the students persevere with swimming tasks and watch their confidence grow. The students can be commended on their behaviour at the pool and the way they have displayed their Cotswold Mātāhae values.
If you have not already done so we would appreciate the $26 parent contribution towards the Swim Safe Programme and bus transport to allow this valuable programme to continue in 2025.
Thanks to Ashleigh Macdonald (our Science Whiz!) our students have been doing some cool science experiments in their classrooms which has been igniting excitement and curiosity. We will be continuing to provide a science focus in 2025 with our new unit on sustainability.
Well done to out Zone Athletic team who competed at Nga Puna Wai on Monday. Fantastic efforts by all students, and the staff and parents who supported the team. Well done to the 13 students who qualified 1st, 2nd and 3rd and moving onto the Canterbury Athletics next week. Results and photos click here.
I encourage you to come along to the Kahui Ako Cultural Festival at Casebrook Intermediate this afternoon from 4pm. The Festival will be going ahead rain, hail or shine but plans have been put in place by the organisers. Get down to Casebrook Intermediate to enjoy some fantastic performances from our local Kahui Ako schools (including Cotswold Mātāhae) and to enjoy some free kai with your whānau.
Term 4 is shaping up to be a very busy Term, remember to keep up to date with Hero App for any updates of events.
