Sports Round Up - Week 8 / Term 3 2024

PSC Duathlon - 9th September 2024

Year 5-6 PSC Duathlon

A big 'CHEQUERED FLAG' to all the Cotswold Mātāhae students who competed in the Yr 5-6 PSC Duathlon on Monday. It was great to see you burning up the rubber on the soles of your shoes and the tyres on your bikes around the quick and slick Ruapuna Raceway.

Winter Tournament Rugby Team 2024

PSC Yr 5-6 Winter Tournament

A big 'GIMME 3' to the Year 5-6 Hockey and Rugby teams who competed in the PSC Year 5-6 Winter Tournament last week.

You can all be proud of making it through to this tournament and the school appreciates your hard working efforts on and off the field in what proved to be an action packed day.

  • Rugby and Cotswold (Final Play-Off Comp)

Year 5-6 Kind Foundation Basketball - Future Ferns Netball – PSC Weekly Sport

Congratulations to all the children involved in these competitions during Term 2 and 3. The school is very proud of our teams efforts during the season and it was great to see all squad members wearing the Cotswold blue, black and white with pride.

Special thanks to the parents, ex pupil (Peter Sim) and staff who coached and managed our teams. Thanks also to the parents who provided positive support on the sidelines, in the bus and transport throughout the season. We sincerely appreciate your support.

Bring Back Bullrush

Well done to all the girls and boys who took part in the Tuesday lunchtime Bullrush sessions with Mr Guthrie. It was great to see you all enjoying the challenge of getting to the end when called upon! We hope to see you all back next year.

Year 2-6 Swimming at Jellie Park

 All Year 2-6 students will be travelling by bus to and from Jellie Park for swimming lessons from the Monday 11th November to Friday 22nd November.

We anticipate the cost for the bus transport and swimming sessions will be between $50- $60. No swimming lessons on Thursday, 14th November – Staff Only Day and Friday 15th November – Canterbury Show Day.

Information and consent forms will be issued to the children at a later date.

Parent supervision on the bus and at the pool will be required.

Senior School Athletic Sports

Date 24th October, 25th October 20245 p/p. More information to follow.

Summer Sport

Registrations have now closed and Mr Harper is busy making up teams.

Thanks to those parents/caregivers who have offered to coach or manage at team, we are super grateful to you. Coaches are once again in short supply especially for Nunweek Touch so if you can spare some time in Term 4 please get in touch with Peter Harper via email peter.harper@cotswold.school.nz

We hope to be able to send out invoice for Summer Sport next week, and provide team lists and uniforms towards the end of the Term.

Urgent Request - please return Sports Uniforms ASAP

Please return all sports uniforms used for Winter Sport including Hagley Sport to Mr Harper in Room 25 before the end of this week. These need to be re-issued for Summer Sport.
