Yr 5-6 Primary Sport Canterbury Athletic Sports
A big 'OHHH YERRRRR' to all the Cotswold Mātāhae 'Track and Field Tunas' who competed in PSC Athletic sports today. It was great seeing you giving your all and living the school values. You can all be proud of your efforts in the 'Blue, Black and White'.

Year 6 Boys 60m - Makahni (Rm 26) - 1st Place
Year 5 Girls 60m - Eden (Rm 22) - 3rd Place
Year 6 Boys Relay - Makahni , Sam W, Hayden & Ray - 3rd Place
'Ahhhh McCain they've done it again....Back to Back Podium Placing for these boys!'

Year 4 Beach Education
On Monday 2nd December and Wednesday 4th December our Year 4 students participated in a one day Beach Education day on Monday 2nd December (Rm 18/23) and Wednesday 4th December (Rm 19/20)
The Beach Education Programme was held at Waimairi Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
Year 5 Sailing and Water Confidence
Year 5 students will be participating in the KORE Education Sailing and Water Confidence activities at Lake Rua next week ( 11th and 12th December. ).
Sailing is an Opt In Activity and payment must be received by the due date for your child to participate.

Year 6 Tough Kid Challenge
As part of ‘The Amazing Rumble’ to the end of year, our Year 6 students participated in the Canterbury Primary Schools Sport Association ‘Tough Kids Challenge’ yesterday at New Brighton Domain.

Summer Sport - Term 1 2025
Registrations for Checkers Mini Ball (Year 3/4), Yr 5/6 Summer Sport (Fridays) and Nunweek Summer Hockey will be sent out via Hero. Please keep an eye out and register your child if they wish to participate. Parent help is a must for all of these sports to continue.
Senior Duathlon - Week 2 / Term 1 2025
Tuesday 11th February pp Wed 12th February
Registration will come home via Hero next week. Parent helpers are required - please email Peter Harper if you can assist with marshalling.

Urgent Request - please return Sports Uniforms ASAP
Year 6 Hockey please return your uniform after Mondays final game.
Please return all sports uniforms used for Winter Sport including Hagley Sport to Mr Harper in Room 25 before the end of this week. These need to be re-issued for Summer Sport.
Weetbix TRY-Athon - Sunday 23rd February 2024
This next years Christchurch event will be held on Sunday 23rd February, enter now to avoid disappointment as last years event sold out !
Enter with your classmates and be in to WIN!
Just remember to add your child to the School Group.
Simply choose "Cotswold Mātāhae " when completing your registration to be added to the school group. If you have already entered just get in touch with the organisers to be added to the school group.
Enter a group of 15 or more students and our school could WIN awesome prizes.
