Kia ora Whānau,
Congratulations to the Junior School for their incredible performance last night. It was a delight to see your smiling faces on the big stage performing for your family and friends. Well done to you all! Click here to view more photos
A big thank you goes to Paula Fleming-Connell, Cameron Anderson and all of the teachers and staff who made our Junior Production possible. Without all of their hard work behind the scenes a production of this scale would not be possible. Thank you to everyone who made this happen!
Congratulations to Amy Lineton and Katie Hoffman on their appointment to fixed term teaching positions for 2025. We are thrilled to have Amy and Katie returning next year.
Thank you all your generosity towards the Give-a-Little fundraiser we are truly overwhelmed to have raised $11,760.50 to be used towards sports and science equipment.

Our Planning for 2025 is underway and you can assist us by letting the office know now if you child won't be returning to Cotswold Mātāhae in 2025. Class placement days will be held early in Term 4 so it is really important that we have accurate numbers before planning our class structure for 2025.
We are delighted to the have had over 170 students choose to participate in Summer Sport in 2024.
It is a testament to Peter Harper's organisation that we can offer so many sporting opportunities for our tamariki to "have a go!".
Invoices were added to your child's Hero Account this week, and payment is due Friday 18th October (Week 1 of Term 4). If cost is a barrier for your child participating in sport please do make contact with me. Mr Harper will be busy sending out team lists over the holidays, and uniforms issued early in Term 4.
We have lots of fantastic EOTC opportunities for our students coming up in Term 4 including the Swim Safe Programme, Year 4 Beach Education, Sailing and Water Confidence, and the Tough Kid Challenge for our Year 6s. We appreciate the work that goes into organisation these opportunities for our students, and parent support enables them to continue.
During the upcoming holiday block we look forward to the delivery of some new furniture for our Year 2 - 6 cohorts. New chairs, high tables, stools and some more storage solutions will welcome our tamariki upon their return from their well deserved break. My thanks to our current Board, and the previous Board of Trustees for making this possible for our tamariki. Over the holiday period as our new furniture begins to arrive Mr Mytton will be putting our old student desks out the front of the school to go to a new home. If you can give an old desk a new home please help yourself!
Te Ara Huarau is the evaluation approach that the Education Review Office (ERO) is using in our school. This is a developmental approach to evaluation where ERO and our school work together over time rather than one off review that happened previously. Te Ara Huarau is used in most English-medium state and state-integrated schools.
ERO maintains a regular view programme to evaluate and report on the education and care of young people in schools. Our school worked with ERO and contributed to writing our School Evaluation Report. The reports reflects and informs our strategic priorities and direction for improvement in one or more areas that are important as we work together to improve outcomes for all our learners. ERO, like us, has a strong focus on equality and excellence. Future reporting will show our progress and achievement towards meeting the areas for improvement in this report. Public reports like the School Evaluation Report are published on ERO’s website.
A Board Assurance Report that shows how we are meeting regulatory and legislative Requirements has also been published. Included in our bundle of published reports is a Provision for International Students report.
I hope you enjoy a relaxing break with your tamariki.
We look forward to welcoming you back to school on Monday 14th October.
As always, if I can be of assistance please do make contact.
Ngā mihi nui,
Chris
