Senior School Athletic Sports
Thursday 24 October (Postponement – Friday 25 October)

- Groupings: All Year 4 to Year 6 students will participate in our Athletic Sports – Room 16 - 24.
- Start Time: 9.10 am – Students assemble on the field.
- Finish Time: 3.00pm

Distance Run – will be run prior to the Athletic Sports Day. If ground conditions are damp under foot at the start of the day, House Relays may be moved forward to 9.35am.

- Safety-pin for scorecard (sorry the office cannot provide these)
Parents Association Raffle
As part of their fund-raising activities this year the Parents Association are holding a major raffle.
- As listed below we have 30 Super Prizes up for grabs
- Each Cotswold Family are to sell their allocated 5 raffle tickets that are sent home
- $5 a ticket
- 3000 tickets printed
- All ticket stubs and money (or unsold tickets) need to be returned to the lock box in the office foyer by Friday 1 November (Note - We are required to account for all tickets so would appreciate that everyone return stubs or tickets by due date)
- If you require more tickets to sell please see the office staff
- Raffle drawn on Monday 18 November and all winners will be notified.

Parents Association Meeting
The Parent Association will hold their next meeting on the school staffroom starting at 7.30pm on Tuesday 29 October, 2019. All welcome.
Labour Day - School Closed
Cotswold School will be closed on Monday 28 October - Labour Day.
Term 4 Activity Fees
Just a reminder that Term 4 Activity Fees are due today, Friday 18 October.
Invoices were sent home in the last week of Term 3 for Activity Fees and the SwimSafe Program (Year 2 - 6 students) was invoiced at the end of Term 2.
If your child’s account (and any overdue activity fees) has not been paid by the due date your child will be unable to participate in any paid activities including swimming.
NB- Teachers are currently arranging their class groups for the Jellie Park swimming so if your child's fees for Swim Safe remain unpaid after Friday they will not be included in a group and alternate arrangements will be made for them during the nine sessions when their class will be at Jellie Park.

Online Payments can be made to ASB Account No. 12-3149-0316613-01 please remember to include your child"s NAME and 2019 CLASS to assist with reconciliation. Receipts will be emailed for all donations received.
Please place the remittance advice in the middle White Drop Box in the Office Foyer.
EFTPOS is available at the School Office and cash can be placed in middle White Drop Box with remittance advice attached.
Swim Safe Programme - Jellie Park - cost includes Swim Safe Program and bus cost to/from Jellie Park - Monday 11 November to Friday 22 November (No Swimming on Show Day - 15th Nov) - Year 2-6 children - $50 pp
Please note : It is a Board policy that children cannot participate in paid activities and optional sports unless your account is up to date.
Scholastic Lucky Book Club
The Scholastic Lucky Book Club (Issue 7 brochure) will not be sent home but it can be viewed on Scholastic.co.nz and orders are now open online.
If you want to order you can order as normal through the Scholastic Loop App or website. There are some great books available through this Lucky Book Club Issue.
Issue 7 has a good selection of books on offer and also has a number of Christmas books.
To avoid being charged postage please place all orders by 9am Thursday 24 October. These orders will be sent to school to be distributed. The next brochure to be sent home will be Issue 8 - hopefully late in November.
Repeated Information
Rebuild
Work continues on the reinstatement of the court area between the new block and the hall. Hann Construction plan to seal this area during Week 1 (subject to weather conditions). A narrow pedestrian corridor will be maintained on the court side of the hall.
A new pathway linking the Learning Support Room with the concrete area in front of Room 1 was installed during the school holiday period. The grass area at the end of and behind Room 1 is out of bounds for all students while newly seeded grass areas get established.
The New Teaching Block is on track to be completed by mid November.
School Assembly
We will be holding school assemblies during Term 4 as follows:
- Senior School Assembly - 18 October 2019
- Full School Assembly - 1 November 2019
- Junior School Assembly – 8 November 2019
- Senor School Assembly – 22 November 2019
- Final Assembly & Year 6 Leavers Graduation – 5 December 2019
All assemblies in held in the school hall starting at 9.10am.
Final Assembly & Year 6 Leavers Graduation
Our final Full School Assembly and Year 6 Leavers Graduation will be held on Thursday 5 December, 2019.

Term dates for 2019 have been confirmed as follows:
- Term 4: Monday 14 October to Tuesday 17 December
School will be closed in 2019 on Saturdays and Sundays and on the following holidays:
- Labour Day – 28 October
- Canterbury Anniversary Day – 15 November
