CPSSA Triathlon

A big 'GIVE ME THREE' to all the students who gave their all in yesterdays CPSSA Triathlon. You can all be proud of the splash you made in the chilly water and your efforts on the runs and on the bikes.

Thumbs up to top 10 finishes Sam Wellacott who finished 7th, and Hayden Moriarty who finished 8th in the Year 5 Open Race. 

Special thanks to all the parents who supported this event. The school is lucky to have you. 

Junior Athletics - Friday 17th March

This year we will be running two different rotations. One rotation for the Year 0-1 students and one rotation for the Year 2-3 students.

After 15 minutes at each station the students will rotate to the next event.  The rotations will start at 9.15am and will run through until approximately 11.00am.

  • 9.30am-9.45am - Round 2
  • 9.45am-10.00am - Round 3
  • 10.00am-10.15am - Round 4
  • 10.15am-10.30am - Round 5
  • 10.30am-10.45am -Round 6
  • 10.45am-11.00am - Round 7
  • 11.00am return to classes for morning tea

We invite all members of the Cotswold Mātāhae Community to attend this event and to support our tamariki in their events.

Requirements for the day:

  • Hats and sunscreen
  • Sports clothing (preferably the children’s house colours)
  • A named drink bottle
  • A can do attitude

Postponement of the event:

In the event of postponement we will notify the parent community via the Hero App.

Year 3 - 6 Future Ferns Netball (Term 2/3)

Submissions closed last week and we intend to register two teams (Year 3 and Year 4) but do require a coach for the Year 3 Team, and also Manager for both teams before they can be registered with the Canterbury Netball.   If you can assist please email peter.harper@cotswold.school.nz by the end of this week. 

Unfortunately we have not have sufficient interest to register a team for the Saturday Competition, or sufficient players for a Year 5 or 6 Team.    We recommend parents/caregivers contact their local netball club to enquire about registering their son/daughter to play netball this season.

Team lists for Year 3 and 4 Teams, and uniforms will be issued to players in the coming weeks.

Subs will be $70 and will be added to your child's Hero Account tomorrow.  

Please arrange payment by the due date of 31st March.

Year 5/6 YMCA Basketball (Term 2/3)

Submissions closed last week and 4 teams have been registered with the YMCA for Term 2/3.  Team lists and uniforms will be issued to players in the coming weeks.

Subs will be $75 and will be added to your child's Hero Account tomorrow.

Please arrange payment by the due date of 31st March.

Year 5/6 Winter Hagley Sport

Look out of the Hero Post coming out next week to register for Hagley Winter Sport.  

Sports options will be:- 

  • - Football 
  • - Table Tennis
  • - Hockey 
  • - Netball
  • - Rugby 

Remember to sign up via the Hero App so you can be added to a team.

Buses will be used to transport to/from venues, and cost this cost will be charged to parents/caregivers via Hero.   We do require parent supervision and coaching for Hagley Sport to continue in the future.  If you can assist please email:  peter.harper@cotswold.school.nz  

Uniform Returns 

Please return your sports uniforms (Touch Rugby, Summer Hockey, Year 5/6 Hagley, Basketball Singlets and Girls Cricket Uniforms) to Room 25 clean and washed and clean to Room 25 by the end of Term (or after your final game).    

Year 3-6 Summer Hockey 

Good lunch on Monday for your final game of the season.
