Christchurch Avon Athletics Club - Junior Section

We are a well organised, friendly Junior Athletics Club – catering for children of all abilities in the 5-14yr age groups.

Club nights are Wednesdays 5pm -6.45pm (5/6yrs finish by 6.30pm) – at Burnside High School.

First Club night for the 2023/2024 season is Wednesday 11th October.

Saturday Inter-Club Competition at Nga Puna Wai all-weather track is available and top-quality coaching is provided.

• REGISTRATION DAY – FOR ALL NEW MEMBERS:

DATE: Monday 9th October

TIME: 5.00-6.30pm

PLACE: Christchurch Avon Club Rooms – Burnside High School

(access from Greers Rd beside tennis courts)

FEES: $110 per child ($90 for the 2nd and subsequent children in the family)

$65 for children in the Kiwisport Group – 5/6 yrs

Fees are payable following registration by internet banking

Note - Until payment has been received, the child’s registration is incomplete.

Our very popular Junior club fills up quickly – so it is recommended that all new members attend registration night on Monday 9th October to secure a place.

Bishopdale Tennis Club Holiday Program

September/October School Holidays 

What: Tennis Holiday Program

Where: Bishopdale Tennis Club, 35 Leacroft Street, Bishopdale

When: Monday 25th-Thurs 28th September and Monday 2nd to 5th October

Time: 8.30am – 12.30pm

You choose the days you want to participate on the registration form

Who For: Members and non-members, absolute beginners, and interclub players. Aged 5-14 years.

Coaches: ‘ALL THINGS TENNIS’ coaching team

Cost: $40 per day (8.30am-12.30pm)

Anna Lee School of Dance - A Time to Shine

New students welcome at Papanui for Term 3 – join now and be part of our end of year recital!

Join our ballet classes for 5,6 and 7 year olds or Jazz for 8,9 and 10 year olds now and there are no fees until Term 4 for new students. Enjoy being part of the end of year recital – a wonderful experience for children

Breens Intermediate Water Polo Fundraiser

The Intermediate Schools South Island Waterpolo Championships in Dunedin is coming up and Breens is entering two teams. We would appreciate any support we can get.

We have 2 dates for some hydro slide fun at Jellie Park:

• Sunday 20th August 10am-12pm
• Sunday 15th October 10am-12pm

Tickets are $12 each and are limited to 40 per session - so get in quick and make sure you pay for tickets to guarantee your spots.
You must be 5yrs and over, and 102cm tall or taller to ride the hydroslides. Children 5-7yrs old must be actively supervised by someone 16yrs or older.

Please send an email to Chéri Riley to confirm which date and number of tickets, and she will send you the Waterpolo bank account for payment.
