Elephant Park by Melanie Koster

Generations of children have played on the trusty elephant slide in the park.  But now her tusks are broken, her paint is cracked and her bones are weary.

Even her pink toenails have lost their shine.  Children visiting the park run instead to the shiny new playground equipment.  But Elly the elephant’s sad face captures the heart of one little boy, who invites her home with him.  And there Noah discovers that his dad also played on the elephant slide as a boy.  Together they decide to give Ellie a makeover.

Entries close Sunday 24 November

Entries can be submitted digitally via www.melaniekoster.blogspot.com or dropped pff at the Bishopdale Library.
