Do you enjoy fresh honey ? Can you donate clean jars with lids?

Jars Wanted : Please drop off clean jars (with lids) to the Office to be used to store the honey.

We hope to have honey (mīere) to sell early in Term 4.

Lesley, the Bee Lady is just waiting on enough warm days to be able to open our hive and collect the honey from our special Cotswold bees.

We also hope to make candles and wraps from the wax to sell to our school community.

Keep an eye out on Hero for the date/time to buy fresh honey!

School Donations

School Donation 2023 by Marie Bianco

As we are nearly two thirds of the way through year we would like to remind our families about the donation system that Cotswold Mātāhae has in place.

As we were a decile 8 school and are now on the new scale system EQI 415, we are not able to opt into the Ministry’s donation scheme. The decile or EQI indexes reflect the socio-economic factors affecting the families of each school, and Cotswold Mātāhae being a higher decile, therefore misses out on this additional funding offered from the government.

Instead of receiving this government funding, we send a request for a $150 donation to our families to assist our school with extra funding to support Learning Assistants, as well as purchasing teaching and learning resources.

To date in 2024, we have received $36,858.00 (approximately 48%) and so we would encourage you to help the school by making a contribution.

If paying in full is difficult, please consider contributing in instalments over the remainder of the year. Parents are entitled to claim 33.33 cents for every dollar donated to approved charities and organisations including schools.

Thank you for your support of our school.
