The Crawshaw Heat played well against the Glenview Jazz for their first game of the season. The smiles on their faces were amazing to see and their enthusiasm for the game was infectious. They played well as a team working together and trying their best. Unfortunately they were unable to win the game but have learnt some great lessons from their first game of the season.

Fortunately the Crawshaw Heat were able to play a second game in the same afternoon. In this game we played against a strong Glenview Grizzlies team. We played a good game and even though some were tiring they were like EverReady Batteries that just kept on going. Well done Crawshaw Heat for a great game, no wins yet but we will keep working on our skills.

CRAWSHAW MAVERICKS Y 5 / 6 Basketball

A huge turnout for our Year 5 & 6 Basketball team and their families last Friday. It was amazing to see such vibrant energy spread right across the court. The Crawshaw Mavericks showed a lot of courage and fight during the game with a few players starting to get a hot hand and sank some buckets. Although we didn't win the game, the team showed promising signs of what to look forward to in the upcoming weeks. Let's keep the ball rolling TEAM!!

CRAWSHAW KNICKS - Y 1 / 2 Basketball

Shane, Kailah, Devon, Jacey, Laylen, Rudra, Carter, Cora, Kotuku, Khorogue, Khyrel and Oshae.

We had a wonderful game on Thursday at the YMCA for our first game. It was amazing to see all the children turn up and their whanau. Absolutely loved all the support. All players did a great job of listening to the ref’s and their coaches and are starting to learn the rules of basketball. We had many of our players break away from the rest by dribbling the ball all the way down the court. Khorogue and Jacy both scored points by getting goals. The excitement and smiles on the children's faces was so special to see. We won the game 11-5 Lets go CRAWSHAW KNICKS!!!

What an amazing start to the season with a massive turnout of over 20 children. It was great to see all the whaanau support!
