Crohn's and Colitis New Zealand Charitable Trust was established in February 2010 by Brian Poole, QSM, with the assistance of a small Board and his wife, Janet.

After 13 years, Brian Poole, founder and past chairman of CCNZ, has made the decision to take some well-deserved time for himself.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Brian for his support of patients, families, medical professionals, and all those affected by inflammatory bowel disease. Through his efforts, he has provided us with a sense of community and made “life more liveable” for so many people.

Although Brian will be stepping back from his roles on the CCNZ Board, we are pleased to announce that he will continue to contribute his expertise as a member of our Working Group. So you can still expect to see him at CCNZ events!

Once again, thank you Brian for your remarkable contributions and dedication. Your impact on the IBD community has been immeasurable, and we are so grateful for everything you have done.
