Emerge Health is an Australian family owned business with a passion and commitment to bring the best medicines to patients. They recently entered the NZ market, only 2 years ago.

Distributors of Entocort and Asacol, both medicines with a lot of history and experience in New Zealand. Asacol has been around for 24 years in NZ and proven to be a reliable and efficacious treatment option for many IBD patients.

One of Emerge Health’s core initiatives for 2018 and continuing in 2019 is to encourage the shared care of IBD patients by developing a strong communication bridge between gastroenterologists and GP's and to secure better long term outcomes for patients. In 2018 they supported workshops and an IBD Breakfast Symposium at the national GP conference in Rotorua. Both of those sessions were video recorded and became podcasts available on IBD Research Review for healthcare professionals to study in their own time. Similar educational initiatives will continue in 2019 to further develop shared care for IBD patients.

Emerge Health also support IBD patients through initiatives such as Camp Purple last year and with increased support this year, it is a great and unique initiative set up by CCNZ to help young patients with IBD, their parents and carers. Working closely with the IBD nurses across New Zealand, Emerge Health aim to bring new and useful resources to patients each year.
