Camp Purple Live 2023!
We have 100 campers registered to attend our eighth annual Camp Purple Live at Living Springs in Christchurch from the 21st – 26th of January 2023.
We have all sorts of exciting activities planned in our schedule including a waterslide, climbing, plenty of events testing your balance, and archery, just to name a few.
Our carnival day promises to be eventful as always. We have a dunk tank secured and campers can dunk their fellow campers, volunteers, and as well as the medical staff!
Camp groups have been organised, sleeping quarters have been sorted, diets are underway, and our theme for the disco has been set.
We are so excited to host our BIGGEST camp yet!
One of the key components of Camp Purple Live is the two-day Parents’ and Caregivers Seminar.
The programme is organised by Professor Andrew Day, paediatric gastoenterologist in Christchurch. It focuses on education and dealing with the challenges of being a parent of a child with IBD. Most importantly, it gives parents the opportunity to meet, share experiences, network, and establish lasting friendships.
The Parents Seminar for 2023 will be held on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of January at the Novotel Christchurch airport.
Our “Experience Camp for a Day” (for children too young to attend camp or those who are not sure they want to attend the entire six days) will be held on the 25th of January 2023. It will be held on Carnival Day, so this promises to be a fun-filled day for everyone!
Registration has closed for Camp Purple 2023; however, you can email us, and we can email you when applications open up for Camp Purple Live 2024, campenquiries@crohnsandcolitis.org.nz
