Starship to hire a paediatric IBD nurse and clinical psychologist!

CCNZ has long advocated for an IBD Clinical Nurse Specialist at Starship Hospital. Last May we presented a petition to the Auckland DHB and launched an aggressive media campaign, pointing out that IBD nurses are absolutely essential in providing optimal care and ensuring positive outcomes.

In July, we began working closely with the Starship Foundation to secure funding. This week we received notification that the Starship Foundation will underwrite BOTH an IBD paediatric nurse and a paediatric clinical psychologist for our children. Recruiting for a nurse will begin in January.
