Volunteer positions include activity group leaders and floater volunteers. Our volunteer paediatric or GI medical specialists include:

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, we ask that you meet the following qualifications:

  • Submit all of the required paperwork by the specified deadlines.
  • Pass Police background and reference checks.

Note to Parents Interested in Volunteering: One of the most important outcomes that campers experience at Camp Purple Live is an increased sense of independence. To foster that outcome, CCNZ does not allow parents of campers to serve as camp volunteers.

To request a registration packet, please send an email to campenquiries@crohnsandcolitis.org.nz.

Applications close 30th September 2024!

Experience Camp for a Day

Would you like to come and experience Camp Purple Live for a Day?

Experience Camp Purple Live 2024 for a day is an opportunity for children aged 5 and upwards, who have Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis and are too young to attend our week-long camp. Or perhaps they just want to check out what happens at camp before attending for the full week.

Those who choose to attend Experience Camp Purple Live 2024 for a day are able to enjoy the activities we have planned for the day. Parents or caregivers will be able to watch our morning activities, and in the afternoon, they will spend some time with one of our camp Doctors to learn more about IBD.

The date is still being confirmed for our day in 2024, however, we are tentatively booked for the 13th of January. We will have space for 10-day campers and one parent or caregiver per camper.

Attendees must be within driving distance to El Rancho, Waikanae, Wellington. If you are not within driving distance, please contact us so we can discuss this further with you.

The day will run from 9am to 5pm. Morning and afternoon tea, as well as lunch will be provided, and we can cater to various dietary requirements.

**Due to Health and Safety requirements, siblings are not permitted on site. This includes those being looked after by another parent.
