A Dance Studio's Fundraising Success for Crohn's & Colitis NZ.
Late last year, our dance studio held a special “purple” dress-up week to help fundraise for Crohn’s & Colitis NZ and Camp Purple Live.
My 8-year-old son, Rafael, was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease last year, and we have been so amazed by the support that CCNZ provide. Our dress-up week fundraiser was a way of saying thank you for everything they do, and for welcoming our family into their community with open arms.
Our students had such a fun time dressing up in purple, and we also decorated the dance studios in purple decorations. It was also a great way to raise awareness about Crohn’s and Colitis, and it was also really special for my son to feel so much support and love from our local community.
Through gold coin donations and our Give-a-little page, we were able to raise $1025 which we were so proud of! A huge thank you to our Shore Dance families for all your support, and to CCNZ for embracing my son on his Crohn’s journey.
