Dunstan Zone and Central Otago Rippa Tournaments have recently been held in Alexandra and Queenstown respectively.

Cromwell Primary sent two Y5/6 teams and two Y3/4 teams to the annual Dunstan Rippa tournament held in Alexandra on Monday 30 May.   All our CPS teams had fantastic results and I was very proud of their enthusiasm, skills, sportsmanship and behaviour throughout the day. A BIG THANK YOU to our managers Jacky Blackadder, Brett Sherriff, Daniel Russell and Ali McAslan.

A special congratulations to the CPS Y5/6 Molyneux team who finished third in the Y5/6 competition.  

This team then qualified to play in the Central Otago Rippa Rugby Championship in Queenstown on Tuesday.  After a win and a close loss, the team made the quarter-finals only to go down in a very close encounter. The team finished 6th overall which is a fantastic achievement. The team represented CPS with pride with their sportsmanship, teamwork and behaviour on and off the field. The team would like to thank Jacky Blackadder for managing and Mr McCormick for his support. Thank you also to Melissa McEldowney and Tayla Hurring for transporting players and for your support of the team throughout the day.
