Meet our Kaiako
The image included in this article showcases our team of kaiako (teachers) and where they will be teaching in 2025.
As we embark on another exciting school year, I’d like to take a moment to welcome Stephanie Dolphin to our team. Stephanie is teaching in the Year 1/2 Hāro team this year, and we’re thrilled to have her on board.
I also want to share the meaning behind our team names: Hārewa, Hāro, Kārearea, and Kaiārahi. These names reflect the key stages of a student's journey through our school, inspired by the Kārearea falcon. They represent the growth of our tamariki—from taking flight and learning to soar, to becoming independent learners, and eventually leading and guiding others. This journey is connected to our school whakataukī: ‘Iti iti kārearea, kahikatea ka taea’—even the smallest falcon can reach great heights.
