A Changing Landscape at CPS
Kia ora whānau
And just like that, we reach the end of another week and the end of term is coming up very quickly.
In true CPS fashion, we had a week full of swimming, skiing, learning exhibitions, visits to museums and topped it all off with a wacky hair day.
I'd like to give a huge congratulations to the Ako team who put on a fantastic inquiry exhibition based on events from New Zealand's history. Who would have thought that on the very same day (UK time) a major event in the worlds history would take place with Queen Elizabeth II passing away. Our thoughts are with those who feel particularly affected by her passing. For me, it reminds me to cherish and value those in my family.
I would also like to make mention of what a fantastic turn out of support Hārewa received during the Junior Cross Country. I absolutely loved watching the youngest students of our school try so hard to achieve their personal best. The parent race at the end provided some laughs and I am pleased it didn't end in a pulled hamstring.
The physical landscape of our kura continues to develop as the roll growth hub continues to take shape, as does the hall which is ever so close to being completed.
Have a wonderful weekend CPS whānau, I wish the year 6 students, parents and kaiako all the very best for their Camp in Dunedin next week.
Ngā mihi,
Matt McCormick.
